Acupuncture is an ancient Chinese medicine which was used to help people improve health and wellness. I became interested in the practice as a way to compliment the medical training I had received as a Chartered Physiotherapist.
Acupuncture works by moving and balancing the body’s energy. Using exceptionally fine needles, I have been trained to place them into carefully selected points in the skin along the meridians or pathways of the body.
It is a drug free form of treatment which can be used to treat many problems including pain. The movement of energy around the form helps to regulate the effect on the nervous, digestive and immune systems.
Acupuncture can be used to treat:
Headaches and migraines
General stress and sleep problems
Bowel and bladder problems e.g. IBS
Acupuncture can be combined with other physiotherapy treatments such as exercise, manual therapy and relaxation techniques. To find out more just give us a call.
